This was one of the most interesting jobs I did in August. It was an advertising job for the duty free store in Bangkok, celebrating their 20th anniversary with lots of fantasy characters including a mermaid, snow queen, Venus, angels and a lot of fairies.

The inspiration for the campaign was shopping in a fantasy world, as always for King Power campaigns. I used ideas from a lot of old movies, and clothes from this season’s winter collections. The main character is wearing a dress inspired by Theysken’s Nina Ricci, while the mermaid was inspired by JPG. The accessories and hat were inspired by Tracey for the McQueen collection.

It took about two days to finnish the shoot, with a tight budget after spending big bucks on models’ outfits to make them look the best! The first day focused mainly on the models, while second day focused on props and still life.

With lots of stunning clothes lying around the studio, like always, my assistant joined in the shoot by wearing some of the dresses to help us get the right movement of the fabric for the retouching process. The campaign has already come out, and I’m very happy with the pictures and looking forward to the next fantasy campaign.
