VERSACE FOR H&M CRUISE COLLECTION
I got an email today from H&M for the preview of Versace for H&M’s cruise collection that will be sold online and in-store from 19th January. This cruise is the second collection from Versace, following their successful collection for H&M last Christmas. Every piece of their last collection had brilliant tropical and roman decoration prints.
After looking through the whole range of this second collection, I have to say that I’m very disappointed, especially at men collection. I don’t think those plain blue shirts or the basic denim shirts are worth the wait at all!!??!? Why make men’s items that you could find in Zara or even Primark? What’s a waste!
In the women’s collection, I think there only 3 items worth buying when it hits the store – the cardigan, bikini and blue mini dress. The cropped cardigan, for me, is the item that really standouts from the rest. This piece is very easy to pair with anything from a plain t-shirt in the daytime to a girly dress in the evening. The fruit print also suits the cruise season very well, something to wear on Mediterranean trip or enjoying the fruit machines in Las Vegas.
While the clothing line didn’t wow me. The metal jewellery line is surprisingly very good. This jewellery really represents the spirit of Versace. They look expensive and feel elegant with the price range of only about £20!
I would definitely recommend everyone to grab these some (and yes there is one dark silver necklace for men this season). I would also predict that this jewellery collection will be the first to sell out. Forget about the shoes and other pieces, I’m sure you will find them all back in the sale.
