This is my latest editorial work that I’m really happy with. It’s for the May issue of a Thai magazine called ‘Dichan’ – and it’s just out this week. The concept is supermodels. The girl, Joy Vararak, is a top supermodel in Thailand from the 90s. The photographer and I decided to photograph her in many different styles as we could.
The shooting required a lot of research for each outfit. We took 14 pictures with 14 styles. The photo shoot started very early in the morning with a lot of make up and hair going on with Joy.

The Photographer, hair stylist and make up artist I worked with were some of the best in Thailand (Nat, O-lek and To) without them the shoot wouldn’t have been finished in 7 hours.

And HERE is the link of all picture I proud of in this month from Dichan magazine. Hope you love it like I do xoxo.

Here’s my latest piece of work for Wallpaper* Thai edition, February 2010. The theme of this cover is ‘Eco-friendly living’ – and I just realized that the cover actually looks a bit like the painting ‘American Gothic.’

Painted by Grant Wood in 1930, it’s considered one of the most important works of 20th century American art. What a coincidence! Both in the composition, pose and the message. This might be something from our subconscious; remembering our history of art classes at university.

We tried to be environmentally friendly and save energy while doing the shooting. We used the sun as our main source of light, spending 7 hours on the roof of the studio. This gave me a little bit of sun burn for a couple of days.

The clothes are spring/summer 2010 collections from Dior, Prada, and Louis Vuitton. And also lots of Thai designers that use eco-friendly materials and methods.

The magazine is out now for all Thai Wallpaper fans, and I hope everyone loves it :-))

This is my second time in Macau and it was absolutely more enjoyable than last time. I went there to do a fashion shooting with Honeymoon+Travel magazine, and Macau’s tourist board. We had the tour guide from the tourist board who was the best – all the time we were there, he treated us like royalty.

Since we were surrounded by casinos, it would have been a shame not to have tried gambling! We tried our luck on the dogs (greyhound racing) and while everyone else lost their money, I won a small fortune. I placed $10 bet and won $100.

And here are some pictures from Honeymoon+Travel, Macau issue. The models are a real couple, they’re a famous TV stars in Thailand. So enjoy!

This is my last bit of work in December 2009. The photo shoot is for Central Department Store’s winter sale campaign. The girl we worked with was from Russia and she has stunningly long, beautiful legs!

Here’s the catalogue for Central Department Store’s new year campaign. I have to say that the clothes for this new year’s catalogue were a little bit all over the place in terms of shapes and colours. Nothing seems to match. So I ended up using a lot of props to pull the clothes together and make them look more interesting.

Laos is like Thailand’s brother. Even though we speak different languages, they pretty much sound the same and I can guess the meaning. I believe our languages come from the same root.

We arrived in Vientiane in the morning when everything was calm and peaceful. The work started right away at the temples around the city. The temples here look absolutely stunning. They’re very old and very beautiful, like some kind of idyllic oriental retreats.

After many shots around the temples, we took some photos around the Victory Monument (Laos Arc de Triomphe). I noticed that people in Laos are very friendly and relaxed all the time.
I got the feeling that it would be a perfect place for someone who wants a quite life. They would find Laos to be heaven on earth.

In the night after the shooting we had a wonder around town to get a feeling to the place, and found out that a lot of teenagers go to a place called ‘Center Point’ just to have some hot soya milk and chat with their friends. How cute is that? This wouldn’t happen in Bangkok for sure. The kids in Bangkok prefer beers and cocktails to soya milk.

The magazine has already come out and I hope everyone loves the fashion pictures. Here’s the link.

After having had long hair for 15 years because I didn’t think short hair suited me. I’ve finally had my hair cut short at last. Then I had my picture taken (with my new hair) for 4th Anniversary of Wallpaper* magazine Thai edition, August 09 issue. The theme of the issue was the New Creative Elite: people who can shape the future of this country (Thailand). And it turned out short hair doesn’t look bad at all. The magazine featured people from many different fields, such as artists, art activists, architects, interior designers, fashion designers, etc. My picture was taken for the stylists page along with two other Thai stylists.

The article feature each stylist next to their own model styled in own distinctive style . For me, my interest in fashion started in the early-mid 90s, I am inspired by grunge fashion and the haute couture collections of that decade. I think my inspiration and who am I today comes mainly from the magazine ‘Dutch.’
Dutch was an avant-grade fashion magazine that only produced 40 issues during the 90s, but it left a big impression on me (I still keep and treasure all those old issues). The style of Dutch was all about how cheap grunge and expensive couture can be blended together seamlessly – it’s about ‘dress-down couture’. The magazine really did shape what I am today in term aesthetics and my perception of beauty. The magazine sort out beauty in imperfection: the beauty of the ugliness.

I styled my model with a luxurious red velvet coat from Prada mixed with a self-customised grungy T-shirt, a Chanel gold chain necklace, a hat from a Thai designer, and Dr Martens boots.
The magazine’s out now in Thailand. And man!!! I look like I’ve just turning 20 in the picture. 10 years youger, HOW LOVELY!!!…. ;-))

Here it is. The advert with the hairy jacket that I made for Central Department Store in Thailand. This job require not only styling skill but also the sewing skill too. The jacket was an adapted version from Martin Margiela collection.

Even though the jacket inspired by Margiela collection, the jacket was designed to have a more McQueen feels than sober Margiela. This monthly campaigns is link with the special performance from French magician, Laurent Beretta, at Central for three days.

This is why the girl have to wear something unusual but stylish. The campaign will launch at the end of this month at all Central Department Store, Bangkok, Thailand.

It’s in an urgent and very tight budget shoot. In fact, We don’t have any money at all to do this shoot for Wallpaper because the picture will publish along with a small article in the magazine.
We did the shoot at the roof of my apartment, prepared all hair and make up in my room. The model, Anna, was very generously to do this shoot. We’re very appreciate for it. Thank you very much Anna :-)).
The picture will publish along with the article I write for Wallpaper. The story is about Japanese designer, from the 80s with legendary designers name such as Rei Kawakubo, Issey Miyake and Yohji Yamamoto to the big name today likes Junya watanabe, Undercover and the latest one Limi Feu (The daughter of Yohji Yamamoto).

We didn’t even have enough money to lend any light equipments but we still did it best as we can. After the shoot, everyone (Apart from Anna) enjoyed my Wiskey collection that I brought from Scotland. This WPP* will out this month and I hope everyone like it.
